Khader Humied offers IFS-informed somatic and psychological and/or spiritual guidance for people seeking a deeper, more compassionate relationship with themselves.
Internal Family Systems (IFS) recognizes that each of us carries many “parts”—such as inner children, critical voices, etc.—each formed to help us survive, belong, or make sense of the world. Rather than trying to fix or silence these parts, we slow down and listen, allowing them to be met with respect, curiosity, and care.
The goal of this process to is empower the most authentic Self to emerge and help clients feel their own enlightened Self leadership.
The way I practice IFS is a gentle, collaborative process. Together, we slow down and begin to notice what you’re feeling, and how those feelings shape the way you think, react, and move through the world.
Rather than trying to fix or push anything away, we learn how to be with your experience in a new way—observing feelings with curiosity and care. Over time, this creates space to better understand and relate to emotions like anger, self-judgment, shame, and perfectionism.
As this awareness grows, many people find they can sit with difficult feelings more steadily, without being overwhelmed by them. The process is simple and can be learned in a relatively short time, becoming a natural way of relating to yourself and to others.
At its heart, this work is about building a deeper, more compassionate relationship with yourself—and we develop that awareness together.
